Vulee respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright, and how to respond if your content is removed.
1. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe content on Vulee infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent containing all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (a direct link is best)
- Your contact information — name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
Email: dmca@vulee.app (preferred — fastest response)
Mailing address: 1432 North Cleveland Avenue, Chicago, IL 60610
Please include "DMCA Takedown Notice" in the subject line.
Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), you may be liable for damages if you knowingly materially misrepresent that material is infringing.
2. Vulee's Response to Valid Notices
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will:
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material promptly
- Notify the user who posted the material and provide them a copy of the notice
- Inform the user of their right to submit a counter-notification
- Record the notice against the user's account for purposes of our repeat infringer policy
3. Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe your content was removed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to dmca@vulee.app containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, mailing address, and telephone number
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any district in which Vulee may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If they do not file an action seeking a court order within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed material.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
Vulee will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We consider the totality of circumstances, including the number and severity of valid notices and whether counter-notifications were filed.
5. DMCA Safe Harbor
Vulee operates as a service provider under 17 U.S.C. § 512 and intends to qualify for safe harbor protection. We do not pre-screen User Content, but we respond expeditiously to valid notices of claimed infringement.
6. Special Notice Regarding Live Music Content
Vulee is built around fan-recorded video from live music events. Recording a live performance may implicate rights held by artists, songwriters, publishers, labels, and venues, and many venues have their own filming restrictions.
By uploading, you confirm you attended the show and recorded the video yourself, or otherwise have the rights to share it. Artists, rights holders, venues, and their representatives who wish to have content removed should contact dmca@vulee.app. We work with rights holders in good faith and respond promptly.
