Chris Johnson and Ashley Wolfe, doing business as Vulee ("Vulee," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Vulee mobile application, website, and related services (together, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide directly

• Account registration information (name, email address, username, password)
• Profile information (profile photo, bio, music preferences)
• User Content (videos, photos, and text you upload or post)
• Communications with us (support requests, feedback, survey responses)
• Show check-in information (venues, artists, and dates you log through the Jam feature)

1.2 Information collected automatically

• Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
• Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date of access)
• Usage data (features used, videos watched, interactions within the Service)
• Location information (precise location if you grant permission for the Jam check-in feature; approximate location inferred from IP address)
• Camera, microphone, and photo library data (when you record or select videos, with your permission)
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7)

1.3 Information from third parties

• Social login information (if you sign in via Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address)
• Analytics providers (aggregated usage data)

We use your information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Process account registrations and manage your account
• Enable the Jam check-in feature and community features
• Identify songs and shows in the videos you upload
• Personalize your experience and recommend content
• Send service communications (account notifications, security alerts)
• Send marketing communications, with your consent where required
• Improve, analyze, and develop the Service
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
• Respond to your requests and provide customer support

3. How We Share Your Information

3.1 With other users

Your profile, username, public User Content, and show check-ins are visible to other Vulee users in accordance with your privacy settings. Content you mark private is visible only to you. You can adjust your privacy settings at any time.

3.2 Service providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Service. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to provide services to us. Our key providers:

3.3 Business transfers

If Vulee is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control.

3.4 Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vulee, our users, or the public.

3.5 With your consent

We may share your information with third parties when you have given us your explicit consent.

3.6 We do not sell your data

Vulee does not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not allow third-party advertisers to collect your data through our Service without your consent.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required by law.

• Account information — retained while your account is active and for 30 days after account deletion
• User Content — retained while your account is active; removed within 90 days of account deletion
• Log data — retained for up to 12 months

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through your account settings or by contacting privacy@vulee.app.

5. Your Privacy Rights

5.1 General rights (all users)

Regardless of your location, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Delete your account and personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time

5.2 California residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

• Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share
• Right to delete your personal information
• Right to opt out of the sale of your personal information (note: Vulee does not sell personal information)
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights
• Right to correct inaccurate personal information

To exercise these rights, contact privacy@vulee.app or submit a request through your account settings. We will respond within 45 days.

5.3 Availability

Vulee is currently offered in the United States and Mexico. If we make the Service available in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Brazil, we will update this Policy to describe your rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and LGPD, and will appoint any representatives those laws require before doing so.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 13, contact us immediately at privacy@vulee.app.

7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings.

We do not use cookies for third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including encryption of data in transit and at rest and access controls.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you provide your information at your own risk.

9. International Data Transfers

Vulee is based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed there. The Service is currently offered in the United States and Mexico. If you use the Service from Mexico, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the United States.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice within the Service, by email, or by updating the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review it periodically.
